A moist chocolate cake in a loaf pan is a classic that is simply irresistible at any time. My recipe not only promises a super moist and chocolatey taste but also uncomplicated preparation. So it’s perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a cosy afternoon coffee or a festive celebration with a bit of chocolate glaze on top.
So, what are we waiting for! Let’s get started to conjure up the world’s best & moist chocolate cake.
How do I prepare the chocolate cake?
The easy-going preparation makes this chocolate cake the perfect companion for spontaneous baking sessions or when cravings knock again. 😉Whether enjoyed alone, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a dollop of fresh cream – this chocolate cake will surely captivate EVERY sweet tooth.
- Preheat oven
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add eggs
- Mix dry ingredients and combine everything
- Fold in chocolate drops
- Pour batter into the pan and bake
- Let cool & enjoy !
That’s it in a nutshell! So if that’s not easy-peasy, then I don’t know 🙂
And if you love delicious chocolate cakes as much as I do, then have a look at my recipe for a chocolate cake with cherries. The cherries simply give it a whole different juiciness and are a hit at every coffee table!
And what else is important?
Oh, actually, you can’t go wrong with baking this delicious chocolate cake. But there are still a few points you should consider.
One of them is: Please use cocoa powder and not cocoa drink mix! Cocoa drink mix is already sweetened, which means your cake would be much sweeter than it should be. And you simply can’t achieve that full chocolate taste with cocoa drink mix. Sorry!
And then I prefer *parchment paper for my *loaf pan. Some people butter and flour their pans, but I’m old-fashioned and always use a sheet of parchment paper – which I always halve beforehand, as half is always enough.
And whatever is always super important, no matter what cake: the toothpick test! Because every oven is different. And there’s nothing worse than a cake that isn’t baked through.
This is how it looks freshly baked – it’s a shame you can’t smell the wonderful aroma of this cake!
And if you want, let your creativity run wild and add a pinch of cinnamon or even a pinch of chili to the classic recipe to give it your personal touch. Because this chocolate cake is as versatile as it is irresistible.
So, treat yourself to a break, grab your favourite cup of coffee or tea, and let yourself be carried away into the world of pure enjoyment by this moist chocolate cake. An uncomplicated cake that makes every occasion something special – just the right thing for the perfect sweet moment.
love, Sabrina 💛
